The Town of Blackfalds has unveiled a brand new website.
According to a press release, the site aims to increase public engagement and promote awareness of the city’s programs, events and services, as well as to help residents, visitors and business owners access information. faster and more efficiently.
“After nearly a year of hard work and dedication, we are delighted to officially unveil our new website,” said Miranda Cooper, Head of Marketing and Communications, in a press release.

Along with an improved search function and business directory, the site also offers quick links that scroll with the page.
Users can now add their own community reviews and events to the website, and business owners can submit their business information to the new business directory.
Additionally, residents and visitors can choose to receive immediate notifications from the municipality through a new alert system called Blackfalds Messenger.
Users simply register their phone numbers and / or email addresses, then will be notified of the latest events, weather and emergencies in real time via SMS, voicemail or email.
The new site will also serve as a portal for the new Citizen Request Portal which replaces the current Blackfalds Connect (Report Problem) app and promises a more streamlined approach to requesting municipal services and reporting problems.
The new portal will be available in September 2021.
