In the United States, consumer behavior analyst and consultant GBH Collective appointed former Kantar chief executive Rob da Silva to executive vice president while promoting Brian Smith to executive vice president , Strategic Insights.

The company offers a proprietary research model combining industry knowledge, research expertise and data analysis to help clients understand industry trends. In LA, da Silva (pictured) joins nearly 30 years of industry experience. He was previously SVP of Millward Brown Digital of Kantar, SVP and MD of Ipsos MediaCT, and held senior positions at Added Value, owned by Kantar. In his new role, da Silva will advise clients on product and marketing strategy, brand value, customer segmentation and advertising effectiveness.

Smith joined last year as a Seattle-area based SVP of Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates (PSB), owned by WPP, where he was SVP, Behavioral Analytics. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Microsoft, most recently as Senior Product Marketing Manager, and previously as the company’s Senior Competitive Strategy Manager. Following his promotion, he will continue to oversee strategic insights and analytics engagements – working with clients to improve brand value, increase client lifetime value and drive growth.
