LIAM Gordon thanked wanderers‘ fans for their support after his exit to the club last week.
The full-back was one of eight professional players whose contract would not be renewed for last season.
In an exclusive interview with The Bolton News, Gordon says he was surprised by how many people reached out to him on social media.
“There’s such overwhelming support, it means a lot that I was able to make a connection,” he told Us.
“I didn’t expect so many messages when I left, so I have to thank each and every one of them for giving me the chance to be a part of it all.
“I’m praying that Bolton get promoted next season and I will always be watching their results now.”
Although he has a few options to choose from, Gordon doesn’t want to rush his next move after leaving the UniBol.
“I’m going to 23 now and I think it’s going to be one of the biggest decisions I’ll ever make,” he said. “I want to move up the league ranks and build on what I did with Bolton.”
